Welcome to our Faculty of Financial Sciences.

 

The School of Banking and Insurance, which was established on July 4, 1995, was closed by the Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette dated 08.03.2022 and was replaced by Marmara University Faculty of Financial Sciences.

Our faculty is the first and only Faculty of Finance in Turkey that provides undergraduate education in the field of finance. Banking, Capital Markets, Insurance and Actuarial Sciences operate in our faculty.

In light of the efforts carried out to ensure that our faculty is located in Istanbul and Istanbul becomes an international financial center, our faculty members and students can closely follow the changes and innovations in the financial sector, and our students receive theoretical and practical lessons from the doyens of the finance sector, as well as from a distinguished academic staff who have a say in their fields. is taking. Our educations are supported by double majors and minors.

Within the scope of close cooperation between academia and the business world, our graduates work as senior managers in Turkey's leading public and private sector institutions, especially banks, insurance companies, capital market intermediary institutions and Borsa Istanbul, as well as regulatory and supervisory institutions such as BRSA and CMB.

In addition to the Farabi exchange program, our students are also offered the opportunity to study at leading European universities within the scope of Erasmus in order to gain international education experience.
