Capital Markets

Financial markets, with their deepening and developing structure in recent years, have included all money and capital markets globally. In line with the increasing commercial relations between fund suppliers and fund demanders in these markets, both product diversity and the qualitative requirements brought by financial specialization determine the educational scope of students studying in these markets. Being interested in economics, finance and the stock market is one of the most sought-after characteristics of prospective students who are considering choosing the Capital Markets department.

The mission of our department is; To train qualified personnel who can transfer the scarce resources in the capital markets to investments in the most effective and efficient way in ensuring the development of our country. Our vision is to create a department culture that adopts continuous learning and research as a principle by following competitive innovations in the world.

In our department, basic courses are taught in the first years to establish the theoretical infrastructure. It is aimed for our students to easily adapt to working life by giving practical lessons based on theoretical and current examples by our academics and by our expert lecturers from the sector. The courses taught especially in the last two years are aimed at our students better understanding the practices in the sector and enabling them to follow the developments in the sector closely. Our students' strong theoretical background and sectoral knowledge are supported by their internships in the sector. Thus, when our students graduate, they show great efficiency in the institutions they work in and can adapt to their institutions very quickly, thanks to the practical courses and internships they take, in addition to the courses taken by other faculty students.
